Bio Field Trip
18 November 2023

On November 18th, we embarked on our very first field trip to explore the vast wilderness of Kulhudhuffushi. This exciting adventure had a clear purpose: to collect valuable data and photographic evidence to complete the much-anticipated Biology Field Trip Report, which was to be graded 😱

Our group of budding scientists spent the day conducting a variety of research activities. We kicked off with a mark-release-recapture experiment in the Coral dhandu, followed by a belt transect survey along the beach. After our productive morning, we took a well-deserved breakfast break. Refueled and ready, we headed to the Kulhi for a quadrat sampling ☝️

Throughout this exhilarating journey, we all experienced moments that we won’t forget. From getting tangled in the Burevi as we tried to set up the quadrats to snorting up sand while recording temperature readings, it was a day full of challenges, laughter, and learning. It truly was an adventure that brought out the best in all of us, and inspired us (me) to carry our more researches of the like :3
